Vision Statement
Child Concern International (CCI) is the fulfillment of a DREAM giving to the founder PASTOR LAWRENCE O. IHANS. This is from DREAM to REALITY. It is the dream of a mustard seed becoming a Big Tree. Dreams do come true. On Decenber 5th 1997, as i was still in Bible College in Monrovia, Liberia; God spoke to me about the conditions of HOPELESS and HELPLESS children suffering under the shakles of sins , disesases, hunger, illiteracy and general bachwardness. The Lord revealed His Great Concern towards these children. He gave me Matt 18: 14 in a Revelation. The passage showed God's will for children. The passage: "Even so, it is not the will of your Father whichv is in Heaven, that one of these little ones for his USE. THE CONCERN CONCEPT PLAN was also given that same year by God. The Lord began to unfold the effects of a Godly child (who is well trained) in the family, in the school, in the church, in the society, in the nation and in the world. At the end of my course in the Bible College, the Lord relocated me to The Gambia in 1999, where He has prepared the heart of His concerned servant PASTOR E.A. OSUWE who accepted the vision and received divine call to be used of God to save the children. At that juncture, we began to work tirelessly day and night to make the vision a REALITY. At the dawn of the New Milleniun 2000, the Board of Directors and of Executives of CCI were constituted to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Non - Government - CHILD CONCERN INTERNATION INC. (CCI) The vision of CCI is unique and timely. Today, the wonders of the exploits God is doing through CCI is making waves in The Gambia and beyoud Africal.

MISSION STATEMENT CHILD CONCERN INTERNATIONAL INC.-Which is fully committed to the complete development and welfare of the CHILD is a .... - Non - Governmental (NGO)
- Non - Denominational
- Non - Sectarian
- Non - Profit oriented, but a CHARITABLE CHRISTIAN ORGANISATION
The major focus is the CHILD. The Growth, Education, Health, Social and Financial WELBEING of the child, his/her SPIRITUAL WELFARE and closeness to CHRIST JESUS must be the concern of every Christian adult.
The CCI is therefore a medium of GETTING resources needed and channelling the same to the less priveleged children with a view of WINNING then for CHRIST JESUS and preserving then for the kingdom of our God. Jesus' love and care must be presented strategically and sytematically so that the world of tomorrow will be filled with the glory of God.
We must evangelise the world and win the children's hearts. Many adults and youth are wicked and devilish because Jesus was not well presented to them in their childhood
The bible says, train up a child in the way he/she shuld go and when he/she is old, he/she will not depart from it (prov. 22..6). If you want better Churches, better Gobernments, better schools and a better society for TOMORROW, then SUPPORT CCI Prayerfully, Morally, Financially, Materially and in every Ramification.
For Christian parents, pastors, Apostles, Christian leaders/workers and organisations, the question is. How do you present Jesus to a hungry, Sickly, Illiterate, Society Maladjusted and Way Ward Child? A Child withjout Basic Necessaties of life or infested with AIDS/HIV or from a Broken Home nees Jesus, but then, demonstrate the love of Jesus by meeting his/her urgent needs and provide these basic necessities. This is the strategy of CCI.
We are concerned about the Comfort, Care, Health, Education, Welfare, Psychological balance, etc of every child of Race, Age, Colour, Religious Beliefs, and Status.
Our concern is geared towars making Jesus known and accepted to the children as the son of God, the saviour of the World and coming KING.
We are concerned and burdened about the deplorable states of these little ones. Many are under the shackles of diseases, poverty, illiteracy and yet the JESUS LOVE AND MERCY are not known to them. Join hands with us and help these children.
